Quality. Swon only ever upcycles saris made from 100% silk. We source each sari individually with our family in Pushkar, before deciding what gorgeous garment to make it in to. Some become Kimono Robes, some become Shirt Sets, and any scraps we don't use become our Scrap Skirts & packaging. 

Recycled & Repurposed. We upcycle other textiles, like kantha & blankets, to become your forever pieces. Our kantha is made from three layers of 100% cotton to give you some warmth during the cooler months.

Each piece is individual & handmade, therefore the materials vary in composition, weight, thickness & feel.

Handwashing & Steaming

Swon clothes are made from delicate, fine upcycled silk and may also feature embellishment and embroidery. Love your clothes by cold handwashing only (& remember to love yourself too!).

Although we steam each item before it's sent out, things can get creased in the delivery process. The creases will drop out with wear but if you wish for it to be smooth, we advise
only steaming, definitely no ironing.

Perfectly Imperfect

We work with a small family in Pushkar, India, who handmake everything. Each item is
repurposed from pre-loved, pre-worn, pre-used saris, and other upcycled material, to create our one-of-a-kind pieces, allowing the material to continue living, rather than dying in a landfill.

Small imperfections in the fabric and the detail are possible due to the nature of upcycling previously loved delicate material. Whilst we strive to check all pieces for quirks, this is part of the beauty of each garment being completely one off, so we hope that you can embrace your clothes as they are.
